“Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come”

It is a great film and the powerful idea behind it is ‘justice’ Which is more than just an idea, I believe it’s God’s heart. It’s not just on his heart it’s part of who he is and that cry for justice is being echo’d through creation, through you and me.
This is a grass movements that highlights the injustice’s caused by Joseph Kony, it’s moving and tells the same old story but in a fresh way. I say same old not because I’m being cynical but because right now someone somewhere in the world is abusing, raping, murdering families, destroying communities. Sadly this is nothing new.
But it can change, justice can be done.
Beyond #Kony2012 there is a global trafficking issue that needs tackling, disease destroys communities where simple intervention can bring healing, half the world live in the most appalling conditions while the other half enjoy the luxury of running water and a stable roof over our heads.
Please by all means support the change that Invisible Children seek in the pursuit of Joseph Kony’s arrest but please allow it’s story to stir in you and open your eyes to the other injustice in the world today. Let it be a catalyst for change in your own heart, and let that move into some sort of action.
This is more than a powerful idea, it is God’s heart and his mandate for us, the church to carry out and see change.
